Mike has been guiding in southern Utah and the Colorado Plateau since 2005. He studied education at Indiana University before finding his love for exploring the canyons and mountains of Utah. Mike has had an esteemed career in the field of wilderness therapy. His guiding career began by taking groups of young people dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues out into the wilderness on backpacking, climbing, and canyoneering trips. Mike has long felt that “having authentic experiences that challenge us in the wilderness allows us to expand our comfort zone, which in turn can open doors we didn’t even know existed.” Mike is married with 3 kids and is also entering his 6th season as high school varsity basketball coach.
Tim has been guiding nearly 20 years in the canyons of Southern Utah. Tim has traveled the world seeking adventure, climbing big walls in places like Yosemite, Zion, and Thailand. He loves sharing his skills and knowledge, while helping others experience the natural world in new and exciting ways. Tim also works as a ski patrolman in the Tushar Mountains, and enjoys guiding backcountry and Nordic tours. When Tim isn’t working he’s usually gardening, adventuring with his son Jasper, or supporting his partner Beth in her wood-fired catering business.
